Shahpar Sports Group was established on the principals of personalized service, individual attention and loyalty. SSG understands the needs of today’s professional athletes and what it takes to achieve success both on and off the field. Our goal has been and will always be to provide a service to our clients that is the best in the business.

Sohail Shahpar is the Founder and President of Shahpar Sports Group.  One of the youngest people to ever receive his agent certification from the MLBPA, Sohail began his career in 1999 at the age of 18.  Representing players such as Derek Lowe, Troy Glaus and Mike Cameron, Sohail was part of the team that negotiated several industry leading salary arbitration awards and multi-year contracts.  In 2012, he left the firm and founded his own company – Shahpar Sports Group – exclusively representing professional baseball players.  Sohail handles all aspects of SSG’s contract negotiations, salary arbitrations, player marketing, amateur advising and day-to-day life management for his clients.  A graduate of Boston University and Hofstra School of Law, he is barred in both New Jersey and New York.
